Types of Appraisals
Insurance Appraisals
Insurance appraisals are required by insurance companies to protect your art and antiques from loss caused by theft, fire, damage, and other disasters. Insurance appraisals state the replacement value of items.
Donation Appraisals
Donation appraisals are required by the Internal Revenue Service when a donation of one or more like items is worth more than $5,000. Donation appraisals state the fair market value of items.
Estate Appraisals
Estate appraisals are required by the Internal Revenue Service to value the worth of the personal property in an estate. Estate appraisals state the fair market value of items.
Damage & Loss Appraisals
Damage & Loss appraisals are needed to receive reimbursement when an item has either been damaged or completely destroyed.
Resale Appraisals
Resale appraisals provide the current fair market value of items so that you may know their value before you sell them.
